thats a shade under 32x10.5, if my quick calculation was correct - I THINK you can do that on a D1 with just a 2 inch spring lift.... 1 inch bodylift on top would make it almost a certainty, I would guess.

I really wanted photo's just to see what it looked like. Gonna do the 2" spring lift in the next couple of weeks and then will see if i need a body lift before i make my bullbar...

Marc,
I ran 265 70 on a D1, with standard suspension and no body lift, the rear of the rear guards cut out slightly. No problems with clearances and the disco got a fair bit of offroad use.
265 75 not hugely different, although I would give it a 50mm spring lift.
Sorry no pics though.

I still appreciate the comment
I took some measurements off a 100 series with 265's...damn they are pretty big tyres.
Im gonna be doing a 2" spring lift and around 10mm in coil spacers and if i need to 1" body lift.

Should easily fit then, go the suspension lift first, you may noy need the body lift.

HOPE I DONT NEED A BODY LIFT. I CAN INSTALL ONE PIECE OF PIE BUT I DONT WANNA TURN IT INTO A UNSTABLE CAR.

Hi JustinC.
Did you need flares when you had the 265s on your Disco?
I'm looking to put 265/75s on my 94 Disco 5 door. It has a 2in lift already.
Did you have standard Disco 16x7in rims?

Hi, I had 245/75/16 (31inch) goodyear MT/Rs on standard disco steel rims with 2inch susp lift and they just caught the back of rear guards on full articulation. Very minor trimming required.

I beleive its only running about 40mm spring lift and cut gaurds - good size tyre too works out about 33x10 - i am looking at fiting this size on my D2

some sort of spring lift, NO boy lift, 265/75r16, std rims, will touch as marked (serious trimming required), WILL rub on radius arm's and it WILL PISS YOU OFF!!!!

265/75r16, gard chop, offset rim's, PERFECT no rubbing

alot of angle grinding (including triming 2" off the bull bar). 285/75r16, they touch the wheel tubs front and rear at full flex (can be fixed with bottom out spacers)! oh yeah looks better and wheels so much better!!

Thanks guys I think I'll not bother with 265/75 16s at this point in time.

BEST OPTION FOR YOU GUY'S THAT WANT TALLER RUBBER, BUT DONT WANT TO CUT TOO MUCH OFF YOUR CAR........
there is one other option, 235/85r16 on 16 x 6.5 rr steel rims, these will require alittle trimming on the rear and will only slightly rub the radius arm's, also they are taller (just over 32") and cheeper then 265/75's, bfg make they and i even think you could get them in maxxis bighorn style, should even fit on your spare wheel carrier on rear door.
