pros and cons for shackle reversal

just wondering why people do this is there an advantage? does it give better handling? is it legal? NEED TO KNOW ALL THE PROS AND CONS BOUT THIS MOD.. thanks

I don't think they are legal to be honest I am not sure. I believe they will track better on a bumpy road but they have the inherint problem of reducing caster when you front end compresses.
Hit the brakes on the hwy and you can get a bit of a front end shake.

The front end will dive more under brakes too - different symptom of the front end compression thing mentioned above.

Hey there,
Yep they drive better. I'm pretty sure I have a fair bit less bump steer too.
Better approach angle, JUST.(Depends a bit on how you do it) but even if you don't pick up a lot of approach the hangers are a lot more inclined to slide over shit than a shackle. Looks better in my oppinion.
Con: Mainly the legality??? and the dive under brakes. This has not been a major problem even though I have soft springs I have not noticed a caster shake under brakes or at all really. I am yet to even get a wheel alignment, toe, castor check! (very slack) and I can take my hands off the wheel for about a klm on the highway with no dramas. STOKED!!!!

i saw fatass's truck today..
\very nice looking truck with just enough bling and bootie fab to make it fit into any crowd
