Anyone still using AM?

AM is now clean again, all the button pushers have moved to UHF :) . Still use both, perfect for cheap comms in convoy.

i've got both. there is bugger all traffic on AM though these days

i pulled my AM out waste of space etc, uhf is a much better system, and with my 50watt uhf in car i can blast over all the shit if need be, also got a few extra Priv channels programmed into it so i can talk to mates that also have programbale radios, works great for when the shit gets to thick on the public chans

I primarily stick to UHF 100 ch 25W programmable, however i still have the AM just incase. aswell as 27MHZ marine for tide and weather reports and VHF marine, also scanner for commercial recieve.

Have to run both...
Country to the north of ere is falt so its UHF...
To the south is big hills n gullys UHF isnt so good but the AM is excelent, also has very busy truck channel and its always a goer around ere.

Got both - well actually 2 UHF....but generally I use the bloody handhel;d ALL the time....NFI why I bother with the incab's....

Still use both. CB is still handy for log trucks and bush crews. CB has better range in dense bush then UHF..
