I have found a Jimny engine in good condition with low km (cannot be more accurate than that) with a wiring harness and ecu for $2500

is this a good price? I have read about people picking them up for as little as $1700, but this is the first one I've found at all!!!

I was told that it is about $500 extra because I dont have a G13bb exchange motor!

HELP - its mine until mid morning, then it isn't on hold anymore!

How long have you been looking for. Over a month or two, I'd say grab it for the sake of $500 you might have to wait a couple more, if only a week or two I'd say keep searching.

Ppl may say they get them for 1700 but ppl are full of shiat too, I'd don't have any idea what they are worth, but if your comfortable paying that it's OK.

Then again who are you buying it off if they want an exchange, a motor rebuilder surely there must be wrecks around somewhere.

Thats a good price, assuming it is in good condition.

the only other thing i've noticed in sydney is quite a few smashed up jimnies go through the auctions. I have no idea what price the go for but many have the look that a car was dropped on them. Might be worth while buying one at auction pulling the bit then selling the scrrap

i cant comment on how good they are compared to vitaras, but they are alot easier to fit, as it doesnt need a gbox adapter or engine mounts.
very nice smooth motor.
