Anyone know where I can get my hands on a workshop manual for a 92 3.1td Bighorn (Jack)?
Cant get them in NZ as Haines and Gregorys do not produce these as there is no market for them in the UK.
I dont mind where it comes from (as long as its in ENGLISH!)
Looking at putting in a front diff lock, when I do my cv boots and torsion bars so want to see how big a job it is to get at the diff.

Dave,
I got my full workshop manual (3 volumes) from here:
http://www.pitstop.net.au/pitstop/prog/OpenDocument.cgi?id=V0X7S13PUM&PLU=9010
Its not cheap at $219 Aus but is the full maual and includes everything you would ever need. This one covers the 3.2L V6 and the 3.1td.
This mob is in Perth but do ship OS.
There are probably other options out there but there is one for you...
Cheers,
Noel

Noel,
you think that's expensive. That site wants $450 for the Frontera manual! But, seeing your manual covers the 3.2L motor can i get you to check something for me. What is the acceptable resistance measurement across the sparkplug coil packs. 4 are reading 1.5k and 2 are about 2k. I'm trying to track down a very intermitent stumble or feeling of a quick misfire under power. The stalling issue I had some time ago has stopped. A can of WD40 and spraying every connection in the engine bay solved that.
Thanks,
Wayne.

I think they have a different engine. The Jack has a 3.2 single OHC per bank and the F'terra has a 3.2 Double OHC per bank. The ignition system is different too I think!!!

Noel,
if you have the info available I would apreciate it. Curiosity more than anything. But then does your Jack have coil packs?
Thanks,
Wayne.

Could also try Bookworks in Sydnew (
www.bookworks.com.au) though I think the price is around the same.
