All,

On my '96 Sierra:

Just took rocker cover off to replace gasket. Also removed distibrutor to replace "O" ring where it mounts to engine.

Put it all back together and now the car won't start.

Haven't done much troubleshooting yet but suspect that there is now no spark.

Help! Please!

did you put the dissy back in EXACTLY the way it came out?
same position of the housing, rotor pointing in the same direction?
Motor hasn't turned while the dissy was out?
if any of these things have happened, your timing will be way out of whack.

the rotor is pointing exactly the same way as it was before? You obviously marked it before pulling the dissy out?

Grab the work shop manual from here:

http://www.suzukiinfo.com/

And you'll know exactly what you'll need to do to find TDC on No 1 piston and what position your rotor button should be facing. There are also marks on the harmonic balancer and timing belt/cogs cover that need to be aligned.

You may have the dizzy 180 degrees the wrong way.
