a hilux ln -106,2.8 .?

It depend how far you want to go,....
I dont see why you couldnt have the pump built/ modified by a diesel mob with a bigger fuel head and plunger and boost compensator, that would give you a lot more fuel then you could up you cracking pressures of your injectors. With this mod you will require a heap of air to burn all the fuel, so she will have to be turboed and running some good boost. And boost = heat so you will have to intercooler her too. But then she would be run pretty hard i would imagen.
So yes the pump could be "tricked" up, but that is only a small piece of the pie when you want to get more HP out of a diesel. If you put more fuel into her you will need more air to burn it.
