Outer Limits 4x4 Board

hey all, I have a hj45, the bonnet is shagged and I have an old 40series split bonnet that I got in a load of parts I got ages ago.

anyway I painted up the split bonnet and went to put it on today and found that it just does not fit, is this normal or should all 40 series bonnets be interchangable?

It seems to be hitting on the radiator cap

any help would be good thanks.

The split bonnet you have is off an early year 40. They changed to the one piece at some stage (don't know of the year). You will need to find one off a 40 from a year nearer to your 45 model. I'm not sure if the split bonnet was the only bonnet change throughout the years of 40 series production but it was the most obvious.

Or you can modify the one you have to make it fit - maybe you need to buy a bigger hammer!.
