Timming chain- problem fixed with write up and pics

Well my timming chain has developed a nasty case of the rattles.
it sound horrible and i was just wondering how much theycost to replace, is it hard could i do it myself.

It's probably the balance shaft chain - the timing chain has a spring-loaded tensioner, the balance shaft tensioner is manually adjusted.
Halfway down the driver's side of the timing cover is a small plate held by two small bolts (10mm spanner.) Behind that plate is another 10mm bolt head - loosen it, and move it (towards driver's side of car, from memory) to take up the slack in the chain. And don't forget to tighten it again.
I hope you can tighten it, because I needed to replace mine - BIG job!

mate a massive thanks
it pulled of that inspection port and tensioned the chain
PROBLEM SOLVED
so thanks for saving me some money-and also those manuals i got of another forum member were and excellent help
