Yeah cool dean

pretty sure transmission fluid works, I used to use it some times on the hard plastics on my old vitara.

I would try a test piece first.

I've heard brake fluid gets the rubber nice and soft again as well. Never tried it... and wouldn't try it with the rubber still on the car!

Ooooo, break fluid makes it go soft, but then it keeps breaking down, it also swells.

An old car dealers trick to stop oil leaks is to put some break fluid in the engine oil, it makes all the seals swell and stops the leaks, it also roots them all after a while, Im sure it does other not so good stuff

Spray and wipe and a good scrub, just did a few of mine(a procrastinators work is never finished).

Best stuff I used was Wurth interior cleaner(it ran out half way through). That stuff is the best cleaning gear I have ever used

Either the Black Chrome as mentioned or Black Wax another similar product does the same. Its like liquid shoe polish for anything black. Makes your window rubbers, bumpers, mirrors, snorkes etc come up like new.

Give them a scrub with some water and a scourer (green - NOT steel wool) then go over them with Black chrome of Mothers Back to black....
