Outer Limits 4x4 Board

has anybody cut there rear shock mounts off and moved them to the top of the diff. i'm sick of mine catching up on rocks, there the lowest thing on the car.
is there any drama's i should look out for before i do this?
i know i'll have to keep the coils in some how when i do get the time to do this mod.
i'll take a pic of mine, and measure how far they hang down.

we were going to move them while we did all the other work, but then decided not to worry about it, i cant say they have stopped me previously, if anything, i normally get caught on the pumpkin, but if they prove to be an issue they will get modded,

It's real easy. Looking at the mount from the rear of the vehicle you'll see a square plate that the mounting bolt comes out of. Cut the mount off at the top of this plate and keep the cuts on the sides of the mounts parallel with the ground. Then swap the cut off mounts from one side to the other and turn them upside down and then with a small amount of trimming with a grinder you can weld them back onto the remaining part of the mount on the diff so the mount ends up approximately level with the centre of the diff and keeps it away from rocks etc.

I pretty much did as Toughnut did although mine still hung down a bit , but were alot higher than stock also positioned them so that the shocks were at the same angle on both sides and not different as they are stock also lowered (from memory) the upper mounts when I changed shocks as the bottom was already on to stay
