I got my hands on a front shaft with a cardin..... which came off a GQ. The mechanic that fitted my air locker laid it alongside the original drive shaft and it's probably 4" longer.... with the 6" coils, it that extra length going to cause problems under spring compression?

cant answer the question, but Ken (Nissan on roids) just fitted one to his. maybe you could pm him and get him to measure it and find out how it goes with springs compressed

yes 100mm is way to much ,measure the distance from flange to flange on the vehicle at ride height then measure the shaft flange to flange at aprox half travel on splines it should be within 10mm of being the same if not have it shorted by a driveshaft repairer. i run a double cardan shaft in my 6" lifted GU and makes a big differance i can even drive on the highway with hubs locked
