different warn winch solonoid Help

I have an old 8000lb low mount with sone different solonoids and i'm trying to find a spare. It is a 4 pole (1 set of Normally open and 1 set of normally closed). The reason i gather is because the motor is not internally earthed. Has anyoue seen one like this before?

Its the 2 larger ones, not the smaller black one.

Do yourself a favour and replace the pack witn the new comp style one from Berretta.

the winch motor has 2 terminals not 3 like the newer ones.

That means it just earths thru the body doesent it.

no it isnt earted through the body, there are 2 poles n the motor, one + and the other - and when the polarity is reversed the winch runs backwards.

I'm guessing it has a permanent magnet motor, not a series wound motor like most winches.

Solenoids are just switches operated by electromagnetic force.

4 solenoids of the type normally used for winches could be wired up to switch polarity like you require. To wind in close 1 & 2 (1 +ve & 2 -ve) leave 3 & 4 (3 +ve & 4 -ve) open. To wind out, open 3 & 4 and close 1 & 2. 1 and 4 would both connect to a common post on the motor, 2 and 3 would connect to the other post on the motor.

This is an option, however, if one solonoid decides to get a bit sticky, it creates a dead short between + and - . my worst case sonario is to do this and install a inline 80 amp HRC hosehold fuse.
