GTI head on a G16B bottom end

yes it can be done. I have seen it done with a G16B bottom end, and GTI head, with a T28 turbo :shock:

The G16B head is actually pretty decent. If you've got a good one I couldn't see the point in swapping it.

The GTi head is good if you are going to do some pretty serious porting or go with forced induction otherwise the G16B head will be better as it actually outflows the GTi head.

This is to go in a Vit yeah?

Standard G16B is a decent engine. If you're looking to go up from there maybe a 2.0 swap? Though one of those wont be as easy to get.

yeh its going into a vitara i thought it would be better having twin cam etc rather than sigle cam

wouldnt bother with a 2.0L swap to much money spent to convert to GTI head would be cheap for me as i can get one for free as well

also was going to port polish etc extractors exhaust nothing major to get more power out of it

Nup, You'll be better off with the G16b head.

Cool. Put the free head on eBay and put the proceeds toward a set of 4-2-1 extractors and a 2" system.

Plus you will get much more torque from using the 1600 head

Twin cam will be better on the highway, but I think you'll be disappointed offroad.

IMHO, G16 A or B, so long as it's injected. 4-2-1 extractors and a 2" system.

Spot on there. That's what I run :cool: don't go any bigger on the exhaust either, 2" is what you want.
