I was told that for competition use where roll cages are required even if you have a full exteral roll cage you need an interal one as well.
Is this true
Thanks in advance

We had exos on our cars for when entering the OBC which were 50mm steel, bolted through the body which actually has it own full size space frame. They still made us build an internal cross brace inside them. This would explain why when we rolled, we didn't even dent the body whereas the South Africans did they same thing minutes later and trashed their roof and screen.

You don't happen to have any pics do you? Mine is going to have a full cross brace across the rear plus at the front it's going to have a bar above and below the front screen plus bars coming down both centre pillars, front pillars & rear pillars. I would have thought this would be more than enough for rock crawling events.
It's not going to be built for Outback challanges or any event where speed is needed.
Cheers Mick.

Pj, check out
http://www.maddison4x4.com/component/op ... Itemid,30/
It's a register of all the vehicles produced.
Basically a guy called John Foers was fed up of rotting landrovers but liked the simplicity of them and the simple setup so decided to make his own chassis and body work using the landrover as a donor for parts.

I think it's the CAMS ones. Winch challenges and the like.
