Hi guys i was wondering what the best H1 100w golbes are for my spotlights, i have a set of super oscars.

Also would i get better light by earthing the lights back to the battery rather than the bullbar??

Globes are fairly similar, except for the new 'super bright', etc ones.

These claim to have more light output, but only increase glare by producing a 'whiter' or 'bluer' light.

Just go to your local parts shop and buy some hella/narva/philips standard H1 globes.
Some people even use 130w globes in them.

You could possibly get less voltage drop eathing back to battery.. Just make sure all your wires are thick enough and it should be sweet.

Buy a 50w HID kit off ebay and an adapter from Bushy555, guaranteed to kill any normal globe u can buy.

If the spotlight just takes std H1 globes he want need a globe adaptor or holder, there just for lightforce lights.

I think bushy has used most of ebay, and hasnt had any problems. I brought a 50w (so they say) kit off http://www.bitdistribution.com.au/ think there approx $500 now. Other than not 100% if they are a full 50w kit or not. I am happy with them. The globes are mounted in some Hella 4000's. And they make nice light.

Best standard H1 globe, Tungrsam (dont think spelling is rite) in what ever wattage you like

I have these in H4 globes, the +60% ones... they are very, very good.. Highly recommended

I tried the "super bright" things in several of my vehicles/different lights and went back to standard ones. They may well register as brighter on a light meter, but I found the standard halogen globes worked MUCH better for my eyes.

Will try some HID's when funds allow.

Mat of mine got some HID's for $91 off Ebay + $90 delivery.

Very simple to fit into Hella 4000's, you jst need to drill a hole for the extra wiring in the back.

Once my lights are wired up we'll take some comparrison photos between the two.

I put some HIDs into my Super Oscars, had to make a larger hole for the wiring grommet etc. I mounted the HID transformers behind the grill.
The lights are awsome.

was it blue or white light?

I think for headlight purposes, the bluish tinge light SUCK BA11S!! Especially in wet weather, the light just disappears. People put them in because they 'supposedly' give out more light, but only the glare increased, which makes it harder to see and harder for oncoming traffic to see.

On the other hand, I have a set of Narva Blue 175s and they light up the road very well. The blue tinge lights up signs and road markers like nothing else!
