Trying to get hold of a pair of 80 series diffs.

Have a great Lt95, and would love 2WD :D

Hi Dave,

You could remove front driveshaft, lock the centre diff and take it for a drive. Then you might see why people say don't do it. Apparently they handle like pigs in 2wd.

cheers, DL

And even worse in front wheel drive :D

Dave, go a GQ front diff and 80 rear. My 80 front is part time and I just run the hubs locked all the time. If you want 2wd, just unlock the hubs and lock the centre diff.

Did good wheelies though

Yea, its not to bad with a slippery in the rear, i had mine 2 wheeling for ages with a nissan transfer case and a 9" LSD in the rear but now i've gone back to LT95 and maxi's its much better and more stable on the fast stuff, give it a go if you wanna and see what you think, its only a matter of welding the centre diff, taking the front side gear out of course, mmm front side gear you know what i mean :D and see what you think
