Just asking your opinions,

I have purchase a 98 GV 5 door, and it needs new shocks so i thought i would upgrade the suspension at the same time.

Any one run the ome gear or any alternatives, want a complete kit dont want to muck around. eg struts, shocks springs etc.

Cheers Heath.

OME is supposed to be nice riding but modest lift (30mm) and rear shocks could be longer.
ToughDog kit is good too, 40mm lift but some say front struts are too long.
Pedders is 30mm but the springs are waaay too stiff.

I had a Toughdog kit on a '98, never had a problem with front CV's.
I had a Pedders kit on my '03 and the rear shocks were so hard it broke one of the mounts.
Am now using a combo of Toughdog springs, OME struts and Rancho 9117 rear shocks.

I've had my OME kit on for about 2 months and without a doubt the difference in ride in very noticable. It handles bumps and corregations so much better then stock suspension.

Lift was about 35mm.

I did quite a lot of research and from what everyone says, OME is the best for a complete kit. Most of the other kits are too hard for such a light car.

Of course the ride has now become worse after going from passenger tyres (27") to LT (29") but I was asking for that.

My Suzi is otherwise stock.
