late 75 series will fit straight up. If you want to put a 79 series grille on you will have to change the indicators aswell

Late 75 does not bolt straight up. Dimensions are the same but only half (from memory) the bolts line up. The rest you will need to mod yourself.
Got an HZJ75 grill on the middy and looks sweet!

hummmm it looks like my brother is getting a bling bling grill for crissy
also about how much dose every one recon they go for at wreckers coss im guessing straight from toyota would be through the roof
so if i wanted i could change the hole of the front grill so the crome indercaters as well, like this one
so will it fit with bolts or will i have to drill new ones?

i bought a grill from a wrecker for $100 for my middy. had to chop it to fit himount winch and didn't want to bugger up the chrome grill i had. was a bit silly buying something in pretty good nic, then attacking with angle grinder soon as i got home

I've put a 78/79 series grille on a 1987 HJ75. Minor mods were needed. The two lower mounting tabs on the radiator support panel had to be tweaked to line up with the holes on the newer grille (this is also the case when I tried to fit a 1990-1999 grille on the car). The centre support hole also did not line up properly with the clip-on tab on the newer grille. A small hole drilled on the grille solved that problem.
Correct that the newer turnsignals are needed to fit the 78/79 series grille. The newer grille leave a gap in front of the older turnsignals. The later turnsignals have a different electrical connector than the pre-2000 signals. A quick work with a wire crimper, really.
