i have a ln106 4wd and the front brakes have only lasted 13,000klms and are down to metal prior to that they lasted 20,000klm and before that were atleast 60,000klm.Do i have a problem with the master cylinder with it putting the main braking effort on to the front or did i just get some very dodgy brake pads the last 2 times (and yes i did change brands between the 2)

It's possible that the pistons in the callipers are sticking causing the to hold a slight bit of pressure on all the time hence the times becoming shorter and shorter as time goes on. Do they wear uneven as this can be a dead give away. Quality of pads do come into play aswell.

Your brakes are bias towards the front anyway, but 13,000k`s thats a joke. Look at a stuck piston for sure, put then again you`d probally be able to smell your brakes burning

updated info at the moment its at a brakes place having new rotors put on as the old ones were too thin to machine. Hopefully they have a good look and play while everything is stripped back.

sic lux they are wearing evenly and no brakes smell so maybe the needed a good machining and high quality pads

The load valve will need to be checked as it will cause the front pads to wear out too quick
