Can u look up a part number on your mitsi parts catalogue thingy. Its for the bolt which goes thru the rearward pivot of the lower wisharm. THe one that are apparently causing all the noise on the front of my car. It is supposed to have a special head on it so that it fits behind the torsion bar mount. Let me know how you go or if you can't. Thought i would ask you rather than trying to explain it to a spare parts guy for half an hour and then not get it right.

Not good news Mike.
The CAPS program shows the lower wishbones as one assembly (same as the uppers) only the bolt on stuff is available separately (lower shock mount, balljoint, bumpstop etc). Looks like the pivoting bolts are only sold with the lower wishbone and not separately (there is no separate part no).
Looking at my Gregory's I know what your talking about they refer to it as a pivot bolt and the head is splined to fit inside the torsion bar anchor arm (which bolts to the wishbone).
I checked all the schematics for Gen 2's and their all the same except for different part no's for some of the stuff.
Sorry.

well that sounds bloody typical of mistubihi doesn't it. spose there is a chance i could change the poistionn of th e"grooves" in the pivoting bolt if i put a washer under the head. hard to tell what the actual problem is till i pull it all apart. seems like a big job as well :( fuggen. mitsi club gymkana is on this weekend and i dun wanna go up there and be creaking and clunking all over the place.
