Unusual Hilux Gearbox Problem????

I have a 2WD Hilux here with a Gearbox Problem. Its a G52 5 Speed. It has no 1st,2nd,3rd,5th or Reverse. 4th gear seams fine. It makes no noise at all in any other gear. I havent drained the oil yet to see if there is any metal in it so im not realy sure it has blown up.
Any one ever come across this issue before? Ive re-built lots of G52s but ive never come across this problem.
A replacement gearbox is cheap anyway but if its a simple common problem i will save some $$ and fix this one.

Check the clutch. When I shat the clutch in the racecar (bigtime shat) wouldnt select any gears whatsoever or make any noise or even attempt changing gears, clutch pedal in or not.

Clutch is defianatly not the problem. Its still got 4th gear.

I'd say it has taken teeth off the front of the countershaft, or broken it.

im with Hilo1x.... 4th gear basicly just locks the input and output shaft together, all the others have to go thru the counter shaft.
Like when my rodeo's gearbox crapped itself in its countershaft bearing- all gears except 4th promoted a shocking squeal.

it'll definetly be the lay over shaft as the 4th gear runs off a different shaft than the other gears i have had the same problem and ended up just buying a rebuilt box as every gear had received damage from the blown teeth on the layover shaft

bring another locker and you can keep the W55 with 60k on it since a full rebuild when you pick up that frame

No bolts missing.....like the selector bolt ?
I had this happen on my BMW the selector bolt looked the same as the filler plug
could get nothing but reverse
Cost alot to fix and that was through a family friend who was a euro mechanic

Yeah your right if you go by the codes. But yes it is still esetially a G52.
And as i had said i have re-built these boxes before so i understand how they work. This is why it was unusuall to me as it didnt make any noise at all in any of the gears that didnt work. Not a sound it was almost a box of neutrals.
Anyway i got under it today and went to drop the oil and it was realy clean. So clean i couldnt see it. It appears someone else has VERY recently replaced this box and no one put any oil in it
So i bought another box and it drives fine now.
