I know, another thread on how much a nissans worth, but bear with me. This is not for sale one yet.
A bloke at work asked me how much his mav is worth, as he wants to trade down to a 2wd hilux dual cab. It hasnt been owned by a young punk offroader and thrashed, he is in his 50s and changes the oil every 5K and has about 200k on the clock. The car is the base model with the wide wheel pack , allow bar, snorkel, and long range tank. He thinks he will only get around 6k, is this too cheap? would it be worth advertising in qld or vic to get a better price?

I reckon it would be a bargain at 6g's...
advertise it here and it would go in a day at that price.. then again most people here expect things for $0.00 and change given...

its worth what someone is willing to pay,
Saying that it was worth 6k was that trade in or private sale?
You may get more in melbourne but no gaurantee, plus all the hassles that are involved or he could just be persistant and wait put his price up in qld.

I got mine for 6k with everything in my sig plus. new batt, new alt, alarm, ERPS, remote central locking. 240km on the clock and serviced every 5 thou.
But mine was not asnew condition, it has a few dints and paint scratches but i lurve it
he should be able to get more than 6k, the seller of my car had been selling for ages.

6K is cheap for a deisel. Just go on drive. com or one of those similar car sites to compare the prices of the cars there. On the other hand, with high fuel prices and the age of the car, gq's are now the sort of car that appeal to only a small group of people, and that is people that go off road and people that want to tow things. Nevertheless at 6k and the condition you described to us, I feel your freind will have a very quick sale on his hands.
(in fact if he was selling it two months ago, I would have bought it myself)

Thats a good price. Traditionally big 4wd's are worth more in qld than elsewhere (except for mine trucks).
Diesels even more so.
