I am pretty keen on getting a set of MTR's and would like to know if a set of 33x12.5x15 tyres would fit on 15x7 rims. If not, what rim width would I need to go up to :?: :?: :?:

According to the specs sheet 8.5-11" for a 33 x 12.5R15, 32 x 11.5R15 is 8-10"

15 x 7 rims to 30 x 9.5R15

you can run them on 15x7 but why would you, they are so much better on a 15x8 adn they are only $45-50ea rim...

I have 32X11.5 MTR's on 8 inch rims, have never popped a bead but have scratched the hell out of my rims, I'd say with an extra half inch it may be OK, do you allready have the 7's??

If so stick with them and try em rather than fork out for another set to find that the first would have done fine.

i found that 12r's on 7" rims made it very "tram tracky" and you couldn't let your concentration lapse or you would be all over the road.

go for the 8" option & you could even go for a better offset if you go for rims. As bigred said it WILL follow the grooves in the road and there is much more chance of throwing a tyre off a rim

Might go for the 8" rim, I'll just a buy a cheap set from the wreckers or somewhere. I was just asking because I already have the 15x7 rims and wanted to know if it was necessary to go bigger. Thanks for the advice guys.

It will only cost you around $50 for new Sunraysia style steel rims- so don't pay too much at a wrecker. ;)
