Advice for petrol to diesel conversion

as the subject says i'm currently doing the conversion on my patrol. i've read all the bibles and stuff on the topic but think its getting to probably the trickiest bit if all with the wiring loom. i got a loom with the engine i bought but i pulled the petrol loom out on the weekend (quite the task in itself) and laid it down next to the diesel one and i'm missing some real big chunks of wiring. anyone recommend a wreckers which may possibly be able to supply me with a comlete loom if possible or if someone has one sitting in a car i'll come pull it out myself if i have to!!!!
Was also looking at a 2.8 td the other day and noticed there air box and snorkel go a nice short distance to the turbo (mines a 4.2 turbo diesel). the air box and everything as part of the turbo kit has to do a full 360 before it reaches the turbo. And the diesel filters mounted on the drivers side nice and close to the injector pump instead of going across the engine bay!
Any other hints of suggestions people have from experinces please share.
