Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Just a question for anyone that has fitted a commodore 4L60E auto from a VT onwards to another car, the question I have is about the Power Button, we have got the power button working without a problem, I have made a light fpr the dash to let me know when its on but cause the button isn't the type that clicks on and stays on, it seems to send a signal to something?? to turn the POWER light on then off when the button is pushed again, just wondering what I would need to do to get the light working on the dash, seeing that we are not using the BCM from the commo.
