I think Patrolden is going to be right on this. Most common cause of a flat spot in any EFI engine is the Throttle Possition Sensor.

is it using a standard computer system or does it have something aftermarket? also wat gearbox? mite be worth checking wat ecu is in it if its a factory one.
mayb the auto one??
not sure just throwing up ideas.
also check plugs, leads if worn can cause flat spot, miss, and pop the dizzy cap off and check the rotor button and for water in dizzy.
just a few things to start.

At the moment I'm having a low rpm miss with the motorbike which im pretty sure is plugs.
It pays to check the obvious things too... like plugs, leads etc. Best bet is to run the thing outside in the dark. Should show pretty clearly if iy's an electrical issue like plugs/leads. At least its one thing off the list and then you can look at all the airflow meters, throttle position sensors etc.

Hahhahahah.
It was a joke.... a JOKE.
The only ford I have is 2 ford badges on a Nissan Patrol.
Anyway, last I checked power output for a EFI 304 versus a EFI 302 is SFA difference. Where it is different the Ford is generally in front.
