what driving do you want to do with it? cheapest way is some coil spacers all round and 235's, thats enough for most stuff. or you can spacer the front and get some different coils for the rear.

The outerlimits links in my post work fine for me, and others. The origional post by sikid is not working, use my post below it with the corrected links in it. The links offsite i havent changed, so they may not work due to errors in their home site.

Go to the NBS site and PM Bruce for price on spring spacers.

The car will do what you have designed it to do. there are a couple of kits out there for a vitara from anything around 35mm lift to 6" lift. if you just want to tour around a bit, dirt roads, beaches, then a TJM ARB kit would be fine.. around 35/40mm lift, if you want 31's/32's then you are going to need to go bigger, eg calmini kit. if you are after lift just for driving around the road and looking cool, then you have chosen the wrong car. IMHO

i dont live in syd, but check the phone book out.
look for:
opposite lock
ARB
TJM
or ask around smaller sus shops who deal with 4wd's, they should be able to set a kit up for you. i live in darwin FFS, and i can get a OME kit from ARB, or an XGS (apparently) from TJM, or a TD kit from OL, and even from pedders and L&S springs up here can do kits for a good price.

if i was to buy a kit wat price would i be looking at to fit 31's comfortably with no chopping etc also would i need gaer ratios to run them properly
coil spacers i found here
http://www.oztion.com.au/-Polyurethane- ... 05051.aspx
or should coil spacers in the front and 180sx springs in the back fit 235/75 with decent flex for all round for now and will i need rear shocks??? with these springs
or
gv in front 180 in the back and coil spacers all round aswell be enough to fit 30's with decent flex but shocks for front and rear could buy strut spacer for front but for rear will have to look into a set from somewhere

Don't pay that price for spacers see Bruce on NBS!!
I think the Calmini 3" is around $2000 + fitting.
Don't bother fitting a set of 31"s, just go with a set of 30".
No gear ratios to change does rub anywhere and there is plenty of clearance.
