MQ fan blower no worky ,, any ideas ??

Post by MQ83=MUD »

Hi all ,,
got that problem where the fan blower does not work ??

have had the fan out and it tested out fine ,,
replaced fan switch ??
still no go

also replaced relay under dash ,, and still no go ,,,

these were second hand parts from the wreckers so maybe the relay is faulty as well ,,????

the fan worked for a while when i first got the mq ,,

I did take out all the air con stuff including the wiring and the fan worked after that / the next day it stopped all together ??

Also can anyone tell me whats the difference between the blue chrome reflectors and normal chrome reflectors that you see in the range of driving lights ,,
I had a big black crow fly into my old hellas and one got smashed ,,
so its time to upgrade the spotties ,

any advise would be a great help ,,
Cheers Rick

In regards to the fan blower. There is a little circuit board with several resistors on it to controll the speeds of the fan. Does it work on any speed at all? Usually this piece is inside the blower box somewhere. Look for a small panel with a couple of screws holding it in place. The resistors are kept cool by the airflow, thats why they place them inside the blower box. Other than that check fuses, fan motor plug?
