Ditch it and go of one a year or two nearer with the 4.5 litre.

Heaps better.

I see that the 4.5 goes a bit harder but arnt they alot more to repair also, engine wise compared to the 4.0?

Anyways, real 4WD`s are diesel anyways ;)
And a turbo diesel is even better :)

They are out there, and if you look hard enough you will find a TD one for around the 14k mark.

Mate, the 4 litre is a nice truck, if u could get one for 5k, then that would be a good deal....i bought one 4 years ago for 7.5 and loved it till i rolled it...
the 4.5 is more intricate, but has better brakes, bigger wheels, thicker steel, etc etc etc....a better al round car, not just the 4.5 but any diesel after late 92...i drove past a std van diesel on the mudgie road for 8k over the weekend.

Cheers for the feedback only reason i am looking at this model is i have found some one that wants a vt wagon and we are just doing a straight swap.Saves hassels with a trade in and all the other crap plus i think i will come out on top value wise.Cheers Ben
