Ive got a bit of a decission to make so i thought i would see what people thought.

I own a 93 GQ ST SWB dual/fuel with 135,000 kms on it, it got electric windows and the car is in exellent condition inside and out/nearly immaculate.(AUTO)

NOW my cousin has a TD42T (after market turbo) GQ SWB ST 89 so its abit older thatn mine the has over 230,000 kms on it. condition is pretty good.(MAUNUAL)

He wants to do a swap because he wants a petrol, ive been thinking of getting a diesel but i do not want to make a bad decission as my GQ ST 93 is in very good condition and a nice car, im stuck?

WHAT DO YOU THINK.

It really depends if u want to pay $1.25 a litre but have the ability to go much further in the middle of no where or just keep paying $0.45 per litre and save in day to day running costs.

How much touring do u do? His Patrol is probably worth more in $$$ but your may be worth more to you (peace of mind) knowing how good condition it is and how low km it has!!

Although 230,000km on a diesel isnt much.

I would just turbo yours

I say dont do it. diesel is expensive.
But give him my email. I will swap with him.
I had a diesel, wrote it off and got a petrol/gas auto both SWB. Now want another diesel. On gas the petrol/gas (even with auto) is cheaper to run as a daily driver. But range is limited to 500km on road, so probably 250km off-road.
And in my case range is more important for what I want to do, than cheap daily driver.
When I say cheap. The running fuel cost is cheaper than my 92 magna.
