Difference between 84 Lux transfer and 85 Bundy transfer

I'm wondering what the difference is between these 2 transfer cases:

1984 Hilux that has a G52 g/box and a 2L 2466cc deisel engine (non turbo)

the Bundy:

1985 with a G52 b/box and a 22r petrol engine.

Reason I ask is because the gearbox in the Bundy is a bit stuffed and the one in the Hilux has been reco'd with low kms and I want to know if the box out of the Hilux will bolt straight up to the Bundy's cruiser split style transfer case.

The bellhousing end doesn't matter as I want to couple it to a Holden red motor and I'm pretty sure Dellows have a kit to suit.

Thanks, sudso

They are totaly different in the rear. Well not totaly but the bundy Tcase wont bolt straight up to the Hilux Case. The rear housing and output shafts are different. And to change the output shaft you must dis-assemble the entire gearbox. Basicaly its the last part you can remove when dis-assembling and the first part you fit when re-asembling. Its an easy job if you know your way around a manual gearbox but not a job for a novice. There are a lot of small parts that tend to just fall out of them as your pulling them appart and its not easy working out where they need to go back.

Thanks Ruff
Well that's sounds a bit more complex than what I thought.

Might be better if I source an R151 gearbox already with a split t/case to suit the Bundy.

Dellows make bellhousings to suit both g/boxes to a red motor anyway.
