Opinion on Sand tyres on Vitara

I'm after some input on the most appropriate sand tyre for my Vitara.

I currently have 205/75/15's bridgestone HT's on the front & Kuhmo A/T's on the rear.

90% of my offroad driving will be on Stockton beach, which is notorious for soft sand, with the other 10% forest trails with hardly any mud driving.

I'm looking to chuck some 235/75/15's all round and are wondering what I should use???

I was all set to buy some AT's until I was talking to one of the local guys at Argy tyres and he recommended road tyres, as AT's will tend to dig into the sand more????

Road tyres???

AT's???

what do you guys think?

I found the muddies rocked over my previous tyres in the sand.

have a look at the toyo open country tires, i had them in 225/75/15 on the zook and they went quite well, quite also.

Goodyear wrangler MTR's are an awesome tyre for a zook. Great in the sand and great traction off road. They are heaps better than any cheap mud terrain tyre. You get what ya pay for. MTR stands for maximum traction.

Yes, the MTR's are a sweet tyre. They are quiet on the road, good traction over rocks, and good on the beack & in mud. Most of my friends have them on their 4b's.

Don't stuff around, just take to the vit was a gas axe and fit 42 inch Irok's they are a excellent tyre and will get you most places you want to go.

Caution - they may rub just a little bit.
