Hey, i'm currently looking for a singlecab hilux with a dropside try and 3.0L turbo diesel.

I have found 3 that appear to be good deals

One is 2003 model 3L turbo diesel, 69,000kms, pioneer cd player, UHF, All upgraded suspension old man emu, rancho etc. Asking $22,000

Another is 2004 model 3L turbo diesel, 67,000kms, Bullbar, towbar Asking $22500

\Neither of them have log books, is this something i should be worried or suspicious of? As the cars are pretty cheap for what they are as most others like these would be $25k+

Thanks
Mitch

Do a bit of research on the NEW T/D Hilux man. I'm sure i saw them on sale for about $31k. The benifits over the older Hilux's are well worth it in every aspect.

Of course that's if u can stretch your budget that far. It is only around (approx) seven grand more than what your looking at atm.

Just one option to look at anyway. Take one for a test drive and suss it out at least.

Heath.

Yeh i can't stretch my budget i am selling my current car to payoff the borrowings and plan to buy a $20k car and not owe anything on it.

Due to the limited amount of turbo diesel cab chassis around i could always purchase a normal diesel one for like $15000 and get an aftermarket turbo kit installed on it, will work out cheaper than getting a factory turbo one as well. Do you think this is worth considering?

Also found another which sounds more realistic, 2000 model turbo diesel cab chassis, with alloy dropside tray and fibreglass canopy (no use to me) has 152,000kms with books and asking $20,995.

Why not buy a $10k model and spend $10k making it awesome?

the factory motor is worth hanging out for- its just a much, much better engine than the 5L or 5LE
