Outer Limits 4x4 Board

When I bought it my zook had this carby fitted to it.

Question is, what is it? It's branded as a Motorcraft, and has an auto choke. What model?

Do I have any hope getting it to run on hills?

Should I just throw it away?

Other than flat out above 4000rpm it's useless, but I'm struggling to tune it successfully as I don't know what it is. 95% of my driving is below that and from past experience the factory carby was far better at that and didn't stall going up hills steeper than speed humps.

It stalls on hills, leaks fuel, and is good for around 11L/100km at best on 28in rubber.

Any help is appreciated with this one.

looks like a weber 36/36.

i have a weber 32/36 on my zook, and it does 99% of what i make it do. and yes, i do have fuel problems, and the fuel floods and starves ect etc, but if you ever hear my carby on my zook at full noise, nothing else really matters.

anyway, these are easy to tune in way of smooth idle and changing of jet sizes to match your motor. just get a whole bunch of jets, and chuck them in as you go and see which ones are better for the low down.

It's a 180 holley they were made under licence to weber (basically a copy of the 32/36), they use a different shape air cleaner base and have a sligltly smaller fuel bowl etc. The main components are interchangeable but the gaskets are different. The throttle also pulls from the opposite direction which makes them easier to fit to some applications
