Truck cab ideas

Post by F'n_Rover »

I'll be converting the landie from full soft top to truck cab (open back), but I still want to retain the the ability to attatch the canvas over the rear section. Looking for ideas on how to join the canvas to a hard top and still remain semi waterproof. The canvas needs to be removable without a major drama.

Thanks.

Hey mate

I'm looking at doing the same thing to my land cruiser. The boys at several upholstery places suggested running sailtrack around the front and roof. You put the sailtrack facing forwards, and put on the canvas cover upside down over the front of the truck through the sailtrack guide.
You then flip it over so its folded over the sailtrack, this covers the sail track for neatness. you should silastic or silicone under the track.

otherwise, i am looking around at other factory softops for ideas.
