Hey guys tomorrow I’m 99% sure im buying a GQ 1990 model patrol TB42 carby for $2500 and just want to know do you reckon it’s a good buy with 380km on clcok as it will only be a 4wd car and have another car for daily drive and is this a good base to start from to make a off road weapon, also will it be ok turning 35’s just for offroad work, (not too hard on the engine)?? Any help asap thanx

Sounds allright to me.If the engine blows, you can allways throw a v8 diesel in there all for a good price.

Just buy it and if it's no good wreck it. We are all after parts.

u just got one sudso.

2500 cant go wrong...a few bits parted off if it went bad you'd make it back.

They are tough but 380,000kms is getting towards the upper end of working life of a petrol. Can last a bit longer than that dependant on care though, or could already have had a freshen up.

Like you said, I could get the t/d one and if the g/box or motor dies I've got the chev and the auto for a conversion.
