hilux swap help

hey all anyone ever put a 5vz engine/gearbox r154 i think into an early hilux/89 sr5 ifs.this is what i want 2 do.buy stat write off 3.4 manual swap everything motor box cut &weld engine mounts wiring loom and anything else that will fit or work from the later model wreck/or maybee put my x cab body onto the later chassis&the wiring i have searched the internet for months and their are heaps of american links and threads but i cant find any aussie ones.just about to buy the donur for the swap via internet anyone got any experience on this swap,will this gearbox go into my vehicle have heard the transfer is on the left side ??? anyone now,any info would be apreceated thanks.james
