just wondering if anyone has done this with 2" lifted sua, hilux diffs(or similar), 2" body lift and alot of cutting? with standard hilux rims with no spacers. any pics? Im working towards a legal buggy style if your wondering. It is a 81 nt but that shouldnt matter.
Thanks for the replys in advanced

My set up is RUF with hilux fronts in the rear SPUA. It has a 2 inch bodylift and 33's on Suzi diffs with large offset rims. You will need to lower the bumpstops a few inches and cut the hell out of it but it can be done. I have removed most of the front inner guards and moved the axle forward.
If you can fab up some new inner front guards or cut out the original ones well enough to weld them on up higher you should clear the front OK.

Gday Nic
Only have this photo on my computer at the moment. It is from Willowglen competition and you can sort of see the bling flares i made up to cover the tyres. After stuffing around trying to find rubber etc large enough i ended up using sheet metal. It ended up looking OK.

I run 33's
Unlike RB's zook mine has next to no lift.
Rb's has a pretty big lift.
I broke 1 CV in the last comp i was in. Driven more sensibly they should be OK. I def wouldnt run 35s on zook diffs.

Hijack, HR's rig looks unreal big D
Back on topic sorta. Pretty sure RB is running 3 inch snake racing bodylift, and about 3 inch in the springs. I have 32 tsl/sx under my zook, SPOA on flat springs. The perches are pretty low too, so no realy lift from them. Works FIne. I have big offset rims, so almost at hilux width. Up travel is limited, but it works well.

thanks for the quick replys and picks, i would like to run big offset wheels as it is cheaper than swaping the diffs around but last time i tried to get it pass the engineer he didnt like them and told me to remove them. That is the reason for standard wheels on standard wider axle. Do 33-35's have to be engineered if only 2" body and 2" suspension are in place with body cut? I would ask tranport sa but they are d#*k heads.

Hey toysuzi, post up the pics you have if you would please. I am guessing what you guy's are meaning by a "virtual " lift means just cutting the body and not doing and actual suspension or body lift, is that right?? Thanks

yip thats right .. you can do a lift as well ... but a virtual lift is the best way to go as it does not raise your centre of gravity .. (except by the tyre size you choose to run)

31 inch simex's on the old version of Heaths HRZOOK 's rig in the above photo. Apparently his members thread has been deleted, so pics might not be coming for a bit now.
