my wife has a 92 pajero (V6) that has developed a loss of power whilst driving. car revs ok but after it has warmed up it fells like someone has thrown an anchor out the window and the car chuggs. have had injectors done checked and replaced fuel filter. had computer checked and no fault found. put car on dyno and it behaves go home and turns to shit again. has anyone else has this problem. whilst car is running it has a lumpy idle when you take the lead from the oxy sensor the car idles smoothly. also tried a new computer but idles faster and still ran like shit.
1/11/06 have now changed dizzy cap put new leads on and new mass air flow sensor(a huge improvement but problem still there-though nowhere near as bad)-havent got to rear fuel filter(weekend job) but have noticed that gear box mount seems to be sitting on crossmember and new rear uni joint put in 3 weeks ago now has move ment. loss of power seems to be around two and a half thousand to 3 thousand revs.

Somebody on the Pajero Club Forum had a similar experience a while back - from memory, the problem was eventually traced to a cracked connector on a fuel injector.

Alternatively, check your O2 sensor - I think it's ignored while the engine is cold, and may be giving false readings when warm?

Good luck,

Scott

You should verify fuel pump presure. Change the gas filter (the one inside the tank)
When the paj is losing power, the check engine light turn on??? If not, is the fuel pump....

I'd be checking your o2s first
