Does the 91 mod GXL have remote central locking as I am looking at one to buy and the central locking works but they only have the key

Hmmm, my 94 model GXL only has the key. I never even thought that it would have remote central locking. That would be great if it was easy to get working - the missus might actually remember to lock it!

if it alread has remote central locking, why would you fit an aftermarket alarm to get remote central locking, when you can just go buy another remote from toyota
i imagine the remote is going to be dear though

Just had a look at all the sales literature I have from my 40th anniversary 80 series and it wasn't an option for the last of the 80 series produced.
I haven't seen a factory remote centrally locked 80 series in Aust but it may have been an option in the USA.

Well the guy I bought mine from told me it was optioned with it so he got it
oh well at least I have it much better then just a key.
You can always just buy an alarm and conect it to your centrol locking anyways, if you wanted a remote.

My brother works for a hino/yota dealer and has advise me alarm/central locking remote kits are avalible they are $120 each from him as staff. I find this shockingly cheap cause the same for my Mazda metro was $400 for the alarm/imobiliser or $700 with central locking. again at staff price. the 80 series of course has the cenral so for $120 i am taking him up on this bargin.. no idea what the non staffy price is though, hope it's not toomuch more

Guys i hooked up an imobiliser to my gxl and it came with key fobs and the ability to open/close the doors, easy wire up and life is easier for me, and harder for them...
