Well the first 100K have almost been racked up on the '03 TD6. Got a letter from Nissan offering extended warranty for a price. Was wondering what people think of this extended warranty. At the moment I think it's B.S. as the old girl is as solid as a Sherman tank. There are a few Nissan tech'son site who might impart some advice. Thanks men.

our 100 series turned to shite near the end of the warrenty. days before where the 3 year would have ended. we have 5 year. had gearbox and clutch issues as well as sagged suspension which was all replaced (suspension has sagged again) what can you fix on a newish truck for the $1k or so they ask for extended. that said it is a nissan and will serve you well!

i like warentys, altho ive never had a new car they still make me feel "safer" even tho the last 2 i have paid a small fortune for n had voided.
if its good price ngood k's go for it, if not throw money in the bank for if it does break.
atleast u bought a td6 so it should last

If it is the genuine Nissan warranty, extended for a further 2 years then think about it. I had the option (and yes, it was the genuine Nissan warranty extended), but declined given that we don't really travel that far. The car is now 4 years old and only has 48,000 klm on it (8,000 since last service 12 months ago!)
If it is an aftermarket warranty offered via Nissan, then forget about it. The are not that comprehensive.
Not much goes wrong with these as you would probably know. However, 5th gear in the 4.2 is questionable, and well over $1K to fix. I had 5th gear done (4.8 petrol) about 2 weeks before warranty ran out.
