Post by Ruffy »

Entry sent... Seems like ages away but after Chrissy and new year it's always on top of us before we know it!

Well ours will be sent in by the end of the week.
Also heard entry will be closing earlier this year. I heard X-mas being mentioned as the close date. And theres better prizes.

Once a year I organise the Intra Challenge for the Pajero Club. GuJohnno was allowed to enter the club only event because his Navi was a club member. Photos taken were from the club only event and it has no bearing on the actual Challenge in Feb 2007. Our club only event is designed to give experience to new members and more practice for more experienced members. It's usually held in the area that the Paj Challenge used in the previous year. Those that do well in our club event have finished in the top 10 of the actual Challenge. GuJohnno and Rob were in the same team that won the club event in Dec 2006, so watch out for them in the Paj Challenge.

As for me, I have no idea where the Paj Challenge is going to be held. I'm competing as a Navi, because that's where the challenge is. The only thing I can tell you is that Rob Pepper is more evil this year.

Good luck all.

cheers,
Alberto.

I completely agree Alberto..This is what it's all about. The mental strength to keep up with numbers for 24 hours. I love it

Bugger that sux's. Last time while trying to plot his stage I had the biggest headache. I just wanted to have a spew and goto bed (some how we did well in that stage though).
Oh well. And its going to be 4up in the Paj again this year (the poor thing has to die soon). So should be another good trip. Rob (driver), Turps (Navie), Paul and Nick (unlucky suckers in the back).

Found out today from my pilot that the challenge will be held around Buxton somewhere.
So looks like Toolangie and cathedral ranges will be the areas.

We will be there again. The rebuild is going along smoothly but still plenty to do.

Last time I seen it. It had no front or motor. Only thing left in front of the A pillar was abit of chassi and a front diff. So I think you better get the whip cracking.

All the paj needs is the lights to be fitted and the 2nd GPS velcro'd to the dash.

Nah I nagged him about tyres the other night. The response was 'They worked last year when it rained so why change'. About now is when I shook my head and cringed.
