i did a 2 inch to my lux, i got the 3inch aluminium rod for $50 at a second hand metal shop. i got about a metre of it, cut it up into 2inch blocks. bought some grade 8 bolts with nuts to suit and used highlift jacks to do the job. my brake lines were right and all i had to modify was the bottom of the fan cowling. mine just clipped off. nice, easy and cheap job for good results.

I think he meant for engineering ;)

In NSW you can pay anywhere from $350 - $800 depending on how much the engineer likes money ;)

Ring around.

also while were on this topic don't forget about your steering shaft i adjusted mine under the dash and it sits right on the end of the spline so it probably wouldn't hurt to lenghten it an inch or 2 the reason i did this a was out the bush and while on my side i tried to turn the wheel a bit to get out of where i was a little easyier and in the tilt knuckle it pulled apart so i would guess that it may pull apart if it is under enough pressure and if it done this at speed i don't think it would end all that well

yeah or cut and sleeve it with some pipe. my mates going to do mine soon machining up the sleeve so it's pressed together and then welded he's a fussy fitter and turner but it's free so why not.
