Hey just started noticing that my car is revving to much when i accelerate rather than actually giving me more power. A friend told me this would be the clutch but thought I would double check witht he board before I went out and got a new clutch. It has now gotten to the point where I can only drive it pretty slowly and it revs heaps rather than actually driving...

if its revving but not accelerating yes its about to die
U'll really notice it up hill under load,
Mine did the same, i wa at Lithgow and had to get back to Gosford, found out that if u rev the enginer harder rather than labouring it you save the clutch a bit more

Yeah, just worth checking that your slave is releaseing properly first. I had a similar problem and found that the slave was full of s##t. Installed a new one for $40 and no more slip, unfortunatley the slip also damaged the clutch and will need replacing prematurley, but worth a look before doing the hardest job there is on the GQ, pulling the box. I have that to look forward to. It is worth changing the slave anyway so you now it is right with the new clutch.
Good luck Dave
