ok i need a no bs assessment of the locker. i have been offered one for the front of my bundera to run with the LSD rear. Will this be a good set up? The one is second hand, has been engaged once! Is 380 a good price??
i would like some personal experience posts too.

A mate ran Lock Rites front & Rear in his 75 series, kept breakin cv's they're a bitch to turn when locked, turn the wheel that is. I'd opt for an air locker in the front!

i had a 4wd systems lokka in the front of my surf for 2 years, running 33 bf's, everyone put shit on it and said they are crap but i never had any dramas with it. Power steering helped, i never gave it heaps of abbuse cause i was waiting to break a cv, it never happened. i have since sold the truck and the young guy that bought it gives it heaps!!
I paid 400 new for mine 2 years and a bit ago.
Cheers Chris

I've had em for over 3 years and never busted anything
This debate goes round and round and round... some people love em some hate them. The only way to be sure is to try one for yourself

I have had a Lokka in the front of my Mav for around 4 years with no busted CV's and no probs. Would have preffered an Air Locker but for the money issues. The Lokka will make it want to steer straight ahead and basicaly makes 4WD for low range slow stuff only — not for high range dirt roads. Steering will be harder but power steering will make it manageable. I they are OK, just Air Lockers are better. I am sure that they arnt the strongest diff centre but if you crawl instead of bounce I think they are strong enough.

i had one in the front and rear of my MQ running a 351v8 then a turbo diesel, never had any trouble with the lockas but was forever breaking cv's. took the one out of the front "problem solved". on the flip side of that i was concidering putting an air locka in the rear and perhaps the front but as of last weekend i have now seen 4 air lockas come appart and of coarse taken the diff with it. what to do?
