Outer Limits 4x4 Board

I have a 1980 G61.
This is basically a G60 that Nissan had left over when they introduced the new design and they threw in a motor, transmission and diffs from the MQ.

My problem is this - I have a ... less than fully functional right knee, and moving from throttle to brake pedal gets real painfull after about 3 corners.
I have no such hassle driving SWMBO's auto Vitara (left foot braking), so I threw the brain into gear and convinced myself I need auto in the 61.

SO ... Suggestions ? Do Nissan have an auto that will bolt up to the G61 (MQ) motor?

yes they would but you have to ask yourself, is it easier to buy another 4b with auto and other bits more suited..
FWIW, Im in the same boat as you with fucked leg... thus the auto going into my TD6

You need an auto that was fitted to a P40. A little hard to find I would think. It is possible the SD33 auto will bolt up, worth checking into anyways.

If you got the cash or can save up just fit a v8 and auto.

Could be nice with auto option for the sd33 ....

Would like to keep it as close to original as possible, and I'll need to pull the tranny out anyway to fix the vibe problem that it has.
If I'm gunna start on engine swapping I'll do that on the G60 (which I wanna do anyway, but it's just turned into a longer term project now)

Yes it would be easier to just go out and get a 4b with auto already fitted, but it wouldn't be a G series then ... I just like'em is all
