interchangeable but you need different side gears as the front has smaller axles compared to the rear

Sierra rear axles are bigger and different spline.
Everything else in diffs are the same.
So can't do a direct swap, unless you want the heavy duty after market axles/cvs which use a rear up front.
If it is an auto locker that does not change side gears, it could be made to fit front.
I doubt air lockers change over, cause they replace entire centre (I believe)

As long as you change the side gears over to front diff side gears (different spline count and diamiter) you can use in in the front.
Layto....

Do the side gears need to be specific arb?
Looking into buying an airlocker that has been in the rear of a zook...
Can i just use original Sierra side gears or do I need to ARB ones?
Cheers Paul.

Airlocker side gears are unique to the airlocker. If you have a very switched on ARB agent/diff guy you MIGHT be able to get the parts, pull the airlocker apart, fit the correct side gears and re install it in the front.
They might not be interested though.
Double toughs are the answer
(Ps these now come with CTM made inner axles and they are beeee-utiful.

So the double toughs will fit a rear arb airlocker? Same spline coutn correct?
Is an expensive way of going about it just for 32's though...
Thanks for the reply.
