you shouldnt cut and extend the chassis like he has.
It should be cut at 45 deg angle.

mick, let's say i wanted to extend my sierra chassis without cutting and rejoing, how would i do it?

don't wanna redo the steering box mounts

you should be moving your diff forward if you are extending the chassis otherwise you are just losing approach angle. That will require you to move your steering box forward too. You only have stock steering dont you? Throw that crap away and get a decent power steer box, you will have to remake the box mounts then.

there have been criticism of the angle of the extension. rotozuk and scwafish think it will cause clearance issues with the pitman arm and frame under compression + full lock. stinkbug acknowledges the issue. also said he'd use stock toyota perches but may redo them if castor is out.
