if you are looking at spending 400 bucks on getting one recoed you may as well look at buying a new warn motor. I have the Magnum 9000lb winch and had to get a new motor so i decided to get the 4.6hp warn motor instead of the cheaper 3.8hp (i think) brazillian job in the magnum and i got it for 500 bucks.

It pays to shop around though. I had prices between 800 and 500 quoted for exactly the same thing. This was in melbourne. Also I was told the as long as you make sure the drain holes are located on the bottom edge of the motor you shouldn't have to seal it up. Some Jeeps have to mount them the other way around compared to cruisers and stuff. all you do is run the motor for a minute or so at the end of the day to dry it out and make sure nothing rusts inside.

good luck
